Ingredients

Is this the same base formula as Dew Drops?

Yes! Hue Drops uses the same skin-loving ingredients and texture that you know and love from our iconic Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops — now with highlighting bronze-colored pigments, which deliver sheer coverage to immediately even tone and add a warm glow to the skin. The Hue Drops formula also includes centella asiatica, which helps reduce the appearance of redness immediately and even tone over time.

Does it contain glitter?

Hue Drops does not contain glitter. Instead, it uses ethically-sourced mica, brightening niacinamide, and hydrating hyaluronic acid to give the skin a natural, warm glow! Hue Drops is vegan and Leaping Bunny-certified cruelty-free, as all Glow Recipe products are!

What is ethically-sourced mica? Where do you source your mica?

We ensure that all mica used is sourced with the assurance of fair and safe working conditions. We source our mica exclusively from suppliers who are members of the Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI), an organization dedicated to helping the private, public, and non-profit sectors reach a 100% sustainable natural mica supply chain.

Does this contain fragrance?

Hue Drops has the same iconic watermelon scent as our Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops! This formula meets Sephora’s Clean guidelines using synthetic fragrance at less than 0.5% of the overall formula for the sensorial experience that you know and love.

Where does the color come from?

The natural pigments in the formula come from ethically sourced bronze and golden mica powder.

Are there any other ingredients to avoid when using this serum?

Hue Drops can be used in any skincare or makeup routine! If you have sensitive skin, we recommend patch-testing your skin by applying a small amount of the serum to a discreet area.

Is This Right for My Skin?

What skincare benefits does this product have?

Is this formula streaky or patchy?

Hue Drops seamlessly applies and soaks into skin without leaving streaks or patches.

Will this be right for my skin tone?

Yes! Hue Drops is a hydrating serum infused with a sheer tint that flatters a wide range of skin tones, from pale to deep, for a warm, natural glow.

Will this make my skin appear too warm/orange?

Hue Drops is a hydrating serum infused with a sheer tint that flatters a wide range of skin tones for a warm, natural glow. This formula applies a subtle wash of color to diminish the look of redness and uneven skin tone. You can layer the product to achieve your desired skin effect.

How To Use in Your Skincare Routine

Which step in my skincare routine is this used?

We recommend applying Hue Drops as the final step of your skincare routine after moisturizer or sunscreen. Try applying it all over the face for a glowing complexion, or on the high points of the face for a warm highlight.

Can I mix this into foundation?

Yes, we love to mix Hue Drops into foundation for a warm tint and glowy finish!

Do I have to mix Hue Drops with my moisturizer before applying?

Not necessarily! Hue Drops provides a subtle glow with sheer and buildable color payoff without the need to mix into moisturizer. You can apply Hue Drops alone or as an additional step in your skincare and makeup routine. If you’d like to experiment with Hue Drops’ versatility, you can mix into skincare or makeup to add a touch of warmth.

Can I use this on my body?

Absolutely! In addition to using it as a light contour on the face, we recommend applying Hue Drops onto the neck and décolleté, or mixing it with body cream to apply over the body for overall warmth.

Can I use this with my other serums?

Yes! Hue Drops work well with any Glow Recipe product to achieve bright, glowing skin. We recommend applying Hue Drops as the final step of your skincare routine after moisturizer or sunscreen. Hue Drops can also be worn alone as a tinted serum, or as a spot contour and highlight!

Can it be used in the same routine as other actives?

Yes! Hue Drops contains niacinamide, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and soothing centella asiatica, which work well with other ingredients and actives. If you have sensitive skin, we always recommend patch-testing before using it all over the face.

Can you use it day and night?

We recommend using Hue Drops in your daytime skincare routine due to the pigments in the formula! However, you can also use Dew Drops for your nighttime routine for a subtle hydrating, glowy boost.

Is this formula ophthalmologist-tested?

Hue Drops is clinically-tested as safe for the eye area. For a glossy eye look, dab a pea-sized amount to the center of the eyelid and blend out.

Is this a bronzer? Or Is this a self-tanning serum?

Hue Drops is a hydrating niacinamide serum infused with a sheer tint to give the skin a warm, natural glow. It is not a self-tanning serum or bronzer—it’s truly in a league of its own!
